1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the LeanPrompts website (leanprompts.app), pre-registering for the Pro Waitlist, purchasing digital blueprints, or utilizing the LeanPrompts software extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must cease using our services.

2. Software License (AGPL-3.0)

The core LeanPrompts browser extension is open-source software and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL-3.0).

• You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software subject to the terms of the AGPL-3.0.
• Any modified versions of the software made available to the public over a network must have their source code published under the same license.
• This website and the upcoming Pro SaaS backend services may include proprietary cloud orchestration components that are distinct from the open-source client extension.

3. Intellectual Property & Prompt Ownership

We assert no ownership rights over the prompts, prompt templates, variables, version histories, or outputs you create, import, or manage using LeanPrompts.

• Your Data is Yours: Your prompt engineering intellectual property belongs entirely to you.
• Compliance: You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content you input or generate complies with the terms of service of the third-party AI models you utilize (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google).

4. Pro SaaS Waitlist & Cloud Services

Pre-registering for the LeanPrompts Pro SaaS edition secures your spot on the waitlist.

• Waitlist Status: Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to early beta programs, and slots are allocated at our sole discretion.
• Service Features: The Pro SaaS edition will introduce optional cloud-backed features (e.g., cross-device sync, secure backup, and collaborative workspaces). These cloud services will be subject to a subscription agreement upon launch.

5. Digital Purchases & Workflow Licenses

When you download free workflows or purchase premium prompt blueprints/workflows from LeanPrompts:

• License Grant: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the downloaded workflows and blueprints for personal or commercial prompt engineering and AI execution.
• Usage Restrictions: You may not resell, redistribute, sub-license, or publicly share the raw workflow JSON configurations, blueprint files, or templates as standalone digital goods.
• Refund Policy: Due to the immediate delivery nature of digital goods, all purchases of premium blueprints and workflows are final and non-refundable once access or the download link has been provided, subject to applicable local consumer protection laws.
• No Guarantee of Results: All workflows are provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the AI outputs generated through these workflows will be accurate, error-free, or achieve any specific business outcomes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Local-First Data Risk

LeanPrompts is a local-first utility. By default, your prompts and data are stored entirely within your browser's local database (IndexedDB).

CRITICAL DATA WARNING:

• Uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's site data/cache will permanently delete all locally stored prompts, variables, and histories.
• You are solely responsible for performing regular exports and backups of your data using the built-in backup tools.
• The software and website are provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall LeanPrompts, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any data loss, hardware failure, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate revisions by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
